With the establishment RISDA, creates an organization dedicated to guide the smallholder sector towards progress and economic and social development, RISDA also will determine the country's natural rubber industry becomes stronger and more stable.
Government sees the importance of new policies and strategies for the development of the smallholder sector and RISDA is established.
As informed, RISDA responsible for all aspects of smallholder development. This includes modernizing smallholder with full use of research results and technical advances in rubber cultivation and processing, and thus cooperating with MARDEC an efficient marketing system for smallholders. But most importantly is the attitude of the new and modern concept for the smallholder sector in accordance with the situation today.
It is clear that the elements of the reform should be a solid foundation to the concept RISDA that allows all of us small farmers use modern practices to enhance the quality of rubber production and get higher yields.
I have also instructed RISDA to apply an "Integrated Approach" to all the problems faced by smallholders. In the past, the problem of small farmers operated by several organizations, namely the Board of the Rubber Industry (Replanting), the Rubber Research Institute (RRI) and also MARDEC. All this will now be handled by the agency. With this implementation may be carried out Therefore, simultaneous to the results of research conducted RRIM and marketing system run by MARDEC for the benefit of small farmers in the country. With the "Integrated Approach" RISDA will ensure that the smallholder sector is updated in all aspects to improve the economic status of smallholders and provide a better life.
The question of improving the economic situation of smallholders in touch closely with the implementation of the New Economic Policy. RISDA then it would cooperate with the government agency responsible in the sense entirely. RISDA will no doubt play an important role in implementing the New Economic Policy, especially in terms of restructuring.
Finally, I hope that with the launch of this RISDA our efforts can focus entirely on the problems faced by smallholders and improve their situation. Let us pray that the aspirations and ambitions through the efforts of a pure RISDA was fully successful.
