Terengganu State Services Commission (SPN.TR) was established on 10 August 1959 under Article 56 of the Law for Self-Government Terengganu (Chapter First) (Amendment) Act 1959.

Under Article 56 (9) of the Constitution of the State of Self-Government (The First) (Amendment) Act 1956, the Commission is responsible for the appointment, confirmation of service, pension status and exercise disciplinary control of members of the services under their jurisdiction.
