The establishment of the National Farmers Organisation (Nafas) was launched on 31 March 1972 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia 2nd, the late Tun Abdul Razak bin Hussein Al Haj. At its inception, BREATH, known as the National Farmers 'Association, was registered under the Farmers' Association in 1967 and acted as the main body to associations of farmers throughout the country. The establishment of the Association of Farmers at that time was inspired by the late Tun Abdul Razak himself by his visit to Taiwan. Along with the passage of time and to enable farmers to move forward movement, farmers 'associations and companies agri cooperation throughout Malaysia have been joined and became the Area Farmers' Organisation and registered under the Societies Act 1973. Later Farmers, along with changes in the region and state level , National Farmers Association has also been re-registered as' National Farmers' Association 'in 1984.
