The official announcement of the establishment of the Islamic University College of Malaysia was made by the Honourable Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on June 14, 1997, in Besut, Terengganu, after obtaining the approval of the Cabinet on June 11, 1997.
This intention is in line with the establishment of the Government to create leaders manifestations of Islam that & nbsp; preserve the integrity and interests of the state and Muslims completely. In addition it aims to position Malaysia as the main model of Islamic countries in the world and become a center of excellence in education by using a local curriculum to ensure the integrity of Islam in the country to realize the construction of a new Islamic civilization. It also aims to restore the stature of Islam is deteriorating.
