Background
Cameron Highlands District Council was established by the Pahang State Government Gazette No. 66 on March 1, 1982 with an area when it is 55.0087 sq km and is divided into two (2) categories: -

Area taxable - 31,812 km.p
Areas that are not subject to tax - 23,725 km.p

New areas for the expansion of Cameron Highlands District Council proposed area is 275.36 km.p (approximately 72,000 hectares) with a total population of 35.075 people.
